Canât Cut A Break (Closed)

The bar was packed more than usual, all sorts of people chatting away at the tables. It as usually quiet on Thursday nights, but Steve didnât mind too much, it was the closest he could get to the old bar that The Commandos and himself frequented.Â
Glancing to his right, his âhandlerâ was in her usual place, making sure Steve wasnât getting himself into trouble. Lifting the glass of whiskey, Steve brought it to his lips, taking a sip. A shiver went down his spine, he hated the taste, but he couldnât seem to stop drinking it. It wasnât as if heâd get a buzz or anything.Â
Movement in his peripheral vision caught his attention as some guy was trying to talk up Kim, and wouldnât take no for an answer. This guy wasnât a regular and he was getting uncomfortably close to the girl, Ste âve sighed, and stepped between them. âHey sweetheart,â Steve said, glancing at Kim fondly âIs there a problem here?âÂ
Daggers extended from Steveâs eyes at the other male, he didnât have to be an expert in body language to know this guy wasnât backing down. Steve tried to square up to the guy, and when the other male took a step back, Steve relaxed a second just to be punched in the face.Â
Falling back against the bar, Steve crashed into the glasses, topping them. Steve put his hand up, checking the blood that came from his lip. Anger flashed in his eyes as he stepped forward knocking the guy clear out. The other male fell into the table, toppling the chairs, and laying out cold on the mess of chairs.Â
Glancing back at Kim, Steve took a deep breath to steady himself before asking âAre you okay?âÂ
