While #pride looks like its all about partying, boys and skimpy outfits (#checkmate, bitch), its always been about the #lgbt community living without persecution and truly being yourself and being loved for it. My closeted self would be proud to see the person I became this year: constantly making new friends, grew my #gay network (the straight world looks so basic), venturing into drag, supporting my drag sisters and the #gayasian community, continuing to watch the best of #lgbt films, eating healthy while obtaining the body I wanted, hanging out with my long crush who helped me form my gay persona, finally becoming the best gay uncle i can be, forgiveness, writing for the lgbt community, having my sister as my best friend, and keeping my confidantes close to my heart proving they're the best foundation.
