This is the fundamental difference between normal people and those who "get" computers. Level of aptitude is much less relevant than this: the realization that the arcane machinations inside those mysterious beige boxes were created by people who are no smarter than you; your available tools aren't limited to what already exists, but what can exist. This attitude can be taken too far, but also enables us picky nerds to tailor our experiences to exactly fit our needs.
This is a roundabout way of announcing that I'm moving this site off of Squarespace and onto my own custom blogging engine. I've wanted to ship a complete product for awhile now, and this is a great opportunity to do that. I'm calling the project Eproxy, and you can find the project's source on Github.
