once in a while, a girl needs to turn her room upside down. & considering allie is currently scouring every nook & cranny of said room with the purpose of rounding up every single sean reminder still hanging around, she would best describe it as cleaning – except she's really just making more of a mess. clean is more of a feeling anyway, isn't it ? she's just not feeling it yet. there's urgency as she moves in circles, rummaging & filling up the stupid cardboard box with his name on it with clothes she'd borrowed & supposedly forgot to give back, two years' worth of polaroid photos, gifts & keepsakes, all down to the extra charger she used to keep for him. & it's brutal. it's a box filled to the brim with good memories turned unbelievably sad. " where. are they- ugh ! " irritation echoes through the dorm room as she digs through the back of a drawer for a pair of earplugs she's sure he left behind when her hand touches something solid. a red card game box, pushed all the way to the back, untouched for the longest time. & for the first time today, there's a memory that brings her nothing but joy.
" han ! " she calls out now, rising to her feet with the box in her hand, a smile stretching across her lips as she walks out of the room. " look what's been gathering dust ! " she holds the game up, plain text made visible. we're not really strangers – the ice breakers that solidified the best friendship since taylor swift & selena gomez, some might say. " on a scale of one to sure, al, i'll help you take your mind off the 'love is dead' thing, how nostalgic are you feeling ? "
