You don’t give a monkey a latte.
Working on a friend’s farm in Germany. Making a breakfast latte.

I did this scene in 'Lars and the Real Girl' where I was in a room full of old ladies who were knitting, and it was an all-day scene, so they showed me how. It was one of the most relaxing days of my life.

After many years of practicing stitching, I am here in Germany making my first piece...a golden brown scarf sure to look fantastic with different shades of blue

EPIC62 is a story of my journey.
My line doesn’t need to be sold. It stands on its own. Free. Independent. Visionary. An acceptance of what one can be. Full and free. Standing in the wind. The fabric embodies a sail on a sailboat. Negotiating with the wind for movement. Building momentum towards close hauling the now. And able to proceed under its own effort and momentum when necessary. It embodies an accomplished and lived life. It is a sigh. A man comfortable in his own body.
This is who I am .
This is me in my strength.
My power.
My force.
I reckon with myself. This is the life I choose to live. I am the positive, warm masculine. I embody a present. A wanderlust. A possibility. An action. A connection to the elemental forces.

Small man in Kansas City...
A road trip under pressure can, indeed, be mythic. Senses are heightened. A world of experts, analysis, method and solutions are left behind. Scarcity becomes a foreign word as you, a traveler, sense the human benefits that come with abundance. There is a subtle reverence with each interaction. You are on a hero/ines journey and everyone is your guide. Art plays you like an instrument. Your language meets your hearts need to play. Your thoughts then fall into line like baby elephants following mama into circus. Serendipities are subtle or blunt depending on your sensitivity or need for clarity. The air is reach with meaning. There is an embarrassment of profundity that only you can embrace. You find yourself wanting to keep things close to your heart. And at some point you do surrender to an internal narrative of freedom.
