Hello!
I want to give a quick introduction to this project and clear up any confusion for those familiar with my other project.
Solomania is a compact project that is meant to give some room for me to grow as a developer! Its plot revolves around a group of superpowered characters, who for various reasons, work alone.
Why a new project?
In truth, Solomania was originally concepted way back in 2024. It is not a new project. It was actually intended to be one of the first projects I wanted to finish and release. The idea itself was simple, and not truly a victim of scope creep. (Windchimes did an excellent job with the narrative design and outline.) However, the concept itself failed to capture much initial interest when I first dipped my toes into game development. Due to this, itt has not been in active development for quite some time.
For a long while, I truly struggled to build the confidence to take the risk to pick this project back up. Visually, it's ambitious and costly to make. While there was some interest, I questioned whether I could afford to finish such a project. It's scope is humble, but I have always wanted to set a bar for quality. That came with many learning curves and costly mistakes as a new dev.
That being said, I've decided to give Solomania a chance.
If nothing else, but for the sake of putting more art into the world at a time where the value of art and those who make it is being questioned. I'm grateful for those who contributed to the project and I believe their work deserves to be seen.
It seems unfair to kill it before giving anyone a chance to even see the game.
