whew, long set today.  thank goodness for the brief intermission.  with a languid sigh, red steps out back, stretching her back until she can hear a satisfied crack.  good!  everything’s in working order.  as it should be.  next, her arms.  and a one and a two - oh!  her elbow collides with something like a shoulder.  at least, it felt like a shoulder?  ... or was it a nose?  she hopes it wasn’t a nose.  briefly startled, she turns, about to break into apology only to notice she’s consequently knocked the cigarette the man was smoking out of his hand.  what a mess!
“are you alright?” she asks, placing a hand upon the man’s shoulder.  for just the briefest of moments, she’s distracted by the heavy, dark eyes - something about them is distinctly familiar, but his is a face that is lost in the darkness between her and the spotlight.
still, thank god she didn’t damage that pointed nose.  “i wasn’t expecting anybody else to be here,” she explains, red lips breaking into an apologetic smile.  perhaps, her hand lingers for a moment too extended, but who knows?  call it one of her bad-not-so-bad habits.  “i’m sorry.”  honest, she didn’t mean it.
