Jazna [to Goran]: “It seems you lack what’s kept me alive these years: a spine. [To Vox Machina] Kill me. I’d rather not stay at your beck and call.” Grog: “Okay.” Scanlan: “Grog –” Percy: “Grog –” Grog: “I reach over and take out my greataxe and aim it for her neck.” Matt: “Did you swing or just aim it?” Grog: “Swing for the neck, beheading-style.” Matt: “Make a strength check.” Travis: “Natural 20.” Liam: “Happy Christmas Travis.”

[Talking about opening a library in Whitestone and rebuilding at the sites that were burned down] Scanlan: “Perhaps we can even name one of the libraries Gilmore’s Glorious Books.”

Keyleth: “I cast Commune with Nature. Do I gather anything?” Matt: “What does Commune with Nature do in full?” Taliesin: “It lets you commune with nature.” Matt [looking it up]: “Oh look, first page I open up to.” Taliesin: “It’s like the DM version of a natural 20.” Bonus: Laura: “Yeah, except he does it all the time.”

Keyleth [talking to the Sun Tree]: “Can I just say ‘Good morning, old friend’?” Matt: “You sense the tree saying ‘The sun just set.
