Matt: Scanlan has been turned to stone
Sam:
Last point (maybe lmao) it’s strange that some of the things that made Night Vale, Night Vale are things that are suddenly changing (Cecil hating Steve, angels not being real, not questioning obvious things that shouldn’t be) and it’s put such a mixture of feelings inside of me. On the one hand, I’m kind of sad that it’s losing those particular quirks, on the other, it’s still Night Vale. A better Night Vale, an naturally improved quality Night Vale. It’s not about things being weird, or extremely different, it’s about the people inside of the town and the strangeness that will always be. It’s about them knowing they are weird and not being ignorant any more. I love this show.

He was right about everything, he always has been.
Cecil Palmer (causing a joy so intense that my soul ascended to another plain of existence yelling “YES YES YES! FINALLY!”)
Steve Carlsberg, oh precious Steve Carlsberg. He just wants people to see what he sees. He’s so patient and wonderful and so self aware. I wish I could give him a gigantic hug. I think it hurts me most that he is so painfully aware that the truth he tells makes people uncomfortable, that people are uncomfortable around him in general and just passes off things that hurt his feelings in favour of not wanting to make things more uncomfortable.
Just when you think that Cecil can’t grow any more as a character he does. I’m so sad and yet so happy that we’ve learnt so much? About Abby and Cecil, about Abby, Cecil and Janice and what Janice meant to them and especially to Cecil. I’m happy that we learnt how Steve fit into all of this and why Cecil really, truly, treated him the way he did. I’m so happy that Cecil is learning and growing and finding usefulness in his family without having everything weigh on his shoulders. I’m happy for the Palmer/Carlsberg family.
