For the first time since joining the Seven, the Deep felt like he was drowning. Yes, what he did to Starlight was bad but he had gone through his own shit when he joined, why would it be different for her? Sandusky was his punishment since Vought now had a new policy of not covering shit up. “Homelander!” He jumped up and hugged the leader of the seven as he came into his aparment. “They’re shipping me off!” He said, devastated by Vought’s decision. “I didn’t tell them about the plane and they’re shipped me off to fucking Sandusky!”

The press conference had been long and brutal. Everyone wanted to know why he said his encounter with Starlight was consensual and while most of the reporters believed him, there was enough that had cast their doubts. Still, he stuck to the script and smiled along as they berated him with questions. When it was finished, he went into the back and tried to relax when someone walked in. “Look, I’ve been at this for hours, give me five minutes and I’m all yours.” No one wanted to be around him. The lawyers ran away from him and the handlers didn’t want anything to do with him.
