the acquisition of other companies that midas labels has been doing came with a lot of questions. ahseop couldn’t figure out what it would mean for the future of sodapop as a whole, how this change would affect everything they’ve worked for. so far, nothing substantial or significant has occurred that would count as a cause for worry. for now, that is.
personally, it could be a good opportunity—a few of the artists that he admires and look up to are closer than ever, these days. it’s not like he’d see them in the same building often, what with their differing schedules, just as busy. it’s not out of reach though, and he counts that as a win. somewhat.
a family concert felt like a natural step forward, ahseop can even use this as an excuse to watch his seniors—for free! sure, he’d mostly be observing from backstage instead of getting a better view from the front, but he’ll take whatever he can get.
of course, ahseop doesn’t forget to attend the afterparty itself, another excuse that he can utilize to mingle with everyone else. despite most of his energy zapped out of him, it’s easily refilled once he finds eunseok among the mix of idols. “hi, hyung!” he says, not the most formal of greetings—he’d known eunseok from before though, so his excitement got the better of him.
“remedy’s performance was so cool! oh, but i think i almost teared up when spring day came on.” he laughs a little, scratching his cheek as he recalls the performance itself. “like, woah, it really has been so long… not that i’m calling you an industry grandpa or anything!” he clarifies, jokingly.
“ah, sorry, were you about to eat?” he asks, realizing he should’ve started with that before going on his mini tangent.
