people seem to forget that allergen safety means clearly labelling every single ingredient instead of letting corporations get away with only listing "spices" or "natural flavor" or "artificial color", not campaigning against certain common allergens.
you can have an allergy to literally anything under the sun, including the sun.
a short list of things real people I know have been allergic to, that are *not* a "major allergen":
oregano
one specific red food dye
artificial sweeteners
tomatoes
shellfish
gluten
zinc
cherries
uncooked apples(but not apple pie or applesauce)
cashews
kiwi
birch cutlery
I've also heard that water allergies are a real thing(not that I know anyone who has one).
you cannot stop allergies just by removing common allergens from everything.
the only way to ensure everyone is safe is to minimize the size of ingredients lists, provide alternatives and label absolutely everything that might be in a product, with as much specificity as possible.
