7. "Keep 'Em on They Toes" by Brent Cobb This song is on one of my driving playlists and I find myself grooving out to it every single time, one of those songs where you slap your steering wheel to the beat and chill out

20. "Leaving Song" by Birds of the Bellwoods This one was tricky!! I chose this one because I listen to it to relax, but it's also got a deep melancholy to it that feels like the hour after twilight and packing a car to leave. But it also feels like hope and love, like devotion.

30. "Misty Mountains" from The Hobbit Okay so this is a Little bit of a cop-out but I promise I picked this for a reason lol. As my voice has been dropping I've been using this song to test and see how low it is on a certain day, and it's been stuck constantly in my head because of it. I also. chose Durin as a middle name, so you could say I'm a tolkein dwarf guy 😅

envy, ENVY this is such a hard question oh my goodness. Honestly?? right now?? I have been enjoying writing Martyn a ridiculous amount. Something about his POV sections in But One Heart are just absolutely my favorite, that deflecting feelings with comedy, always ready with a quip, Observing everything around him and commenting on it internally vibe. An excellent silly little guy, and my dark horse favorite of the fic

So for But One Heart I haven't stated it outright, but I am fully moving away from the watchers lore here. I thought hard about including it, but there's a hundred different iterations out there, and having not watched Evo yet myself I didn't feel super comfy with the territory so I said 'hey what if I did cool meta without watchers in it'

SO instead we have more directly minecraft-meta-influenced storytelling, with coding and admins and servers and players all being quite real, but also a little bit unknowable. They're binary sure, but they're something More too, and that something more can really bite you in the butt if you're not careful. There may even be some end poem references coming down the pike...

That means the Grian Angst in this bad boy is gonna be entirely the result of his own choices as admin, and some unintended consequences of those choices playing out in interesting ways 👀

He and Jimmy are the key players in the bigger picture for But One Heart, and their meta directly impacts each other. I cannot WAIT for y'all to see how it plays out 😁!!!!
