Crash Landing
Piper was unaware of how much time had passed since he blacked out. Not that it mattered. All he was really aware of was the pain in his chest and head and fuck, his leg, because there was a piece of debris on top of it and it was heavy and damn, he couldn't move it at all.
And then it all came back to him. The plant, the Enterprise, the power surge... crashing. Falling through this planet's sky. Losing control of the shuttle, and then... nothing. It was a wonder he was still alive at all.
Blinking slowly, trying to adjust his eyes to the brightness of the dual suns, Piper surveyed the damage done to the shuttle and him. The small escape pod was totally wrecked, from what he could tell. And he too was hurt, badly.Â
From the shouts around the camp, it sounded like the plant was still presenting itself to be a problem. It was a surprise, therefore, when he noticed a set of feet running towards him, and then a person kneeling down in from of him. Doctor Marcus.
Piper blinked in pain and confusion. "Carol?"
