Zev sighed, leading his sister down the street as she clung to the sleeve of his coat. They weren’t exactly talking, as they mad their way through the public, but that wasn’t the reason why they were causing so much attention. It was their shared outlandish outfits that didn’t even match.
Zev seemed ignorant of it although the small girl clung tighter to his side. It’s not like they could help their standing out. They weren’t from this ritzy part of town anyway. They were only here to run errands for their elder sister.
It was only when Zaphara tugged on his sleeve that he looked down. “I think we’re lost.”
“Huh? “
“This isn’t the right place. There’s nowhere to turn and we’re in a residential district.”
“Right...”
“We need help.” And that’s when Zaphara separated herself from his arm and bounded up to what she thought would be a good person to ask. “Excuse me, do you know where the nearest bakery is?”
