If you live in or around Charleston, I highly recommend that you head to 1505 King Street Extension to check out the installation that Enough Pie and Boomtown have organized. It’s called Sound + Light, and it is the work of artist Craig Colorusso. I previously saw his work at ArtFields in 2014 – where he won the top prize for Sun Boxes. The installation is in an old warehouse that apparently (skeptical question mark?) was part of the set for Army Wives. This whole site is about to be redeveloped by Boomtown and this installation will only last until November 1. The installation is 5 pieces, which collectively represent over a decade of work. One of them is a short documentary about the work, which is a compelling look into the Process behind it all.

This installation is described as:

... an immersive, experiential installation in a cavernous, darkened space... illuminated through shadows, light, and meditative sounds to create a peaceful, haunting, and unforgettable experience." 

  It’s a really cool installation and it’s completely free. If you are looking for something to do Halloween morning, Spectra yoga is going to be hosting a class inside. 

Enough Pie is a really great organization that is doing great work through creative placemaking here in Charleston. I hope you’ll join me in supporting their cause.
