Melissa allowed the paper to sit on the table and she squeezed his hand lightly. He looked… happy. Which made Melissa feel comfortable instantly. “I hate to admit that I am a little shocked. Even though she clearly has not gone through menopause yet, but still. “It’s going to take some time to adjust to. With Scott being the age he is and Allison being around the same, it’s…” her voice trailed off. Weird? Melissa did have her son at a young age. She raised him on her own. “I just hope we can make this work.” and not have to raise a baby on her own again.

“Well I never heard of a break-in bringing breakfast, so I think I can hold off on calling the police.” Melissa laughed, she rubbed her thumb against his jaw lightly. “Everything is perfect.” she responded, looking up at him and smiling. Melissa had no idea what she had done to deserve any of this bur frankly she wasn’t about to start complaining. Chris was amazing to her. She closed her eyes again as she melted against him, brought on by the kiss. She held onto him as she kissed him back. “Mmm.” She mumbled. “And it doesn’t look as though you had any issues with them as well, Argent.” Melissa pointed out. “Because If I remember, I kissed you first.” She looked back up at him. “So…what does this mean?”

Chris never thought he’d find something like this again. He’d accepted that he would spend the rest of his life hunting, killing those who killed others and .. that’d be it. Help Scott and the others when they needed it, but other than that he’d been convinced he’d live his life alone. He hadn’t know that life would throw him a curveball like this. Although, it wasn’t, was it?
