YESSSS ugh there’s too many good ones to choose honestly. Like the popular ships are good too but the rare ones hold a special place in my heart…

I’m totally going to use this post to just ramble on about my favorite ships 🙏

Junko/Sayaka

Junko and Sayaka. What a duo. They’re the only ones who truly understand each other’s struggle. At least, with their careers. Sayaka is practically spelled out to you, but Junko’s is moreso implied (even though she’s obviously unstable by the sixth trial). They’re both basically shrouded in mystery. They’ve built up an almost fake persona of themselves (especially Junko’s), and they died for that persona. Or rather, for Junko, she died for giving it up in the end. And what finally killed them was their love for someone. For Sayaka, it was Makoto’s, for Junko, it was everyone, but especially Makoto because she couldn’t predict anything because of him.

Anyways. I fully believe they hooked up more than once pre despair.

Kyoko/Hina

The way that after Makoto, Hina is the person Kyoko most cares about. Even during the killing game, she mentions Hina in her own free time events to see if Makoto cares enough about anyone else to remember their talent. Why Hina hmm… (yes I’m grasping at straws)

And in the anime (I know), Hina crying over Kyoko and then hugging her and Kyoko embraced her??? Girlfriends. Girlfriends!!!

Chiaki/Ibuki

They’re both very caring people who deserved to have someone interested enough in learning more about them </3 the anime basically gave Chiaki no backstory and Ibuki is just neglected the entire game, they deserve each other as healthy girlfriends

Also. Ibuki and Chiaki playing music together. Canonically. Girlfriends.

Mahiru/Peko

Toxic yuri? Toxic yuri. Mahiru definitely liked her first back in pre despair and Peko repressed her attraction (she def has internalized homophobia and thinks it’s shameful and also she still doesn’t think of herself as her own person yet). Gotta be the most tragic ship of all time

I can’t believe they got together and are canon!! Crazy guys kodaka said winners love winning

Kaede/Tsumugi

This is actually just canon I’m gonna be honest with you. Kaede flirting with her the most in the entirety of chapter one?? Also being implied Tsumugi wrote that in the script??? Tsumugi possibly regretting killing her?? Dating. Toxic yuri back at it again (also lowkey I see Tsumugi having internalized homophobia but she’s mean about it ugh love mean tsumugi)
