Jake had a million different thoughts rushing through his head as he waited parked outside of the Matlin residence, tapping the steering wheel absentmindedly with one hand. It was one thing to say how you felt about someone, especially Katie, but it was an entirely different thing to express your emotions in person. Jake was never the touchy feely type, but something was different this time. He was sure this conversation would lead them into some very unfamiliar territory, but in his heart of hearts, Jake knew that she was worth every slightly awkward second. He headed to her door and knocked, his face lighting up as he saw hers. "Hi! I mean, hey.", he greeted somewhat excitedly, his body fumbling a bit in deciding whether to hug her, kiss her, or shake her hand. "Heh, guess I should just come in.."
