#enid's

Ever since going to Dead Horse Bay last year, JK's been trying to get me to take him, but the timing of tides has never worked out. Enter summer Fridays.

The drive down to Brooklyn took a LONG time. Good thing we had just stuffed ourselves with fries, salad and rosé at Enid's, where we hadn't been in at least five years.

Once at Dead Horse Bay, we quickly chose the correct path and started on the short trail to bottle beach.

All I really wanted this visit was a porcelain teacup. A few contenders, but nothing perfect. Instead, I focused my on larger, vase-worthy bottles. We did see some disgusting animals. Some dead. Some not (horseshoe crab, creeping around!). And some trickster left a stuffed animal horse. So clever.

I wore my summertime plastic shoes that JK warned me against. I only got 1 shard of glass stuck in my foot, but I think that still means he was right.
