♞ - For heaven’s sake, what now? Toudou tore himself away from his console and slammed the button for the remote bay door, slowly revealing... a... robot? Spidery, a little shorter than him, standing on the other side of the bay doors. He put his fists into his hips and squared her up, only mildly phased. “You here for someone?”

♞ - “I’ve had to patch these kids up so many times I lost count, whoever you are. If you think I’m surprised about it, you’re wrong. It was a shame for it to happen so soon, but don’t think I didn’t know it was gonna happen. And don’t think I’m not gonna patch my babies up, like I always do.”

♞ - Was that an engine outside of the bay doors he heard? Toudou remotely lifted the doors and peered out in irritation, seeing the street sweeper parked idly by. “What in the hell...” He didn’t have time for this. Someone was loitering around HQ and he had more important things on his mind. He charged over to the sweeper, making a shooing motion with his arms. “Move your vehicle! You can’t just park here. We need clearance in the loading zone!”

♞ - He’s frowning at the console again, pausing from his typing to open the remote mic that is linked to Shadowmaru’s personal frequency. “This is Engineer Toudou, Brave Police. Shadowmaru’s in the repair bay and can’t answer right now.” The agitation in his tone indicated he was irritated over more than just answering the ninja detective’s calls. He was worrying over this code, searching for a solution but finding it as difficult as looking for a needle in a haystack.

He got the comm over the connection to his terminal and frowned at it. He considered not answering, but that seemed immature. Best be upfront. “Shadowmaru is indisposed.” he said tersely into the microphone. “Who is this?”
