FIRE rolls off of him, blazing RED. “ Such HOSTILITIES — ” A lazy roll of shoulders, eyes following. ANNOYANCE. Ostentatious crimson blade reflecting the sun at its zenith, flames dulling to a quiet burn, “ Put down your blade. If I were here to FIGHT you would know it. ” Perhaps it was aTHREAT, perhaps a BLUFF but he speaks with perfect control of his voice, smooth without a single quiver even in the face of the Captain. Figure moving to lean against worn walls, red coat catching the summer breeze, he SIGHS a theatrical HUFF.

Erhardt has heard her comments, since the moment he and Olberic had returned from fighting the lizardmen in Wellspring. The young woman, too pretty for her own good, with eyes that narrow with her distrust of him every time she looks his way - she’s not one to mask her displeasure, that’s for certain. Even as he’d been risking his life against Werner’s men, fighting side by side with Olberic, she’d had something to say about whether or not it truly was safe, leaving him to deal with the lackeys. As if he’d turn around, after all that he’d done to atone for his wrongdoings, and betray his best friend all over again. They’d had no choice, mind you, and despite how her words settled in the back of his mind, he’d upheld his promise.

With his aid, Olberic had been able to find Werner, and end his reign of terror. Riverford had returned to the peace its people had once known, the men who fought in the resistance left to bandage their wounds, bury their dead, and start on the road to recovery. And he and Olberic...they’d settled down at the inn, spoken of things that had been hanging in the air between them for the decade they’d been apart. Even so, as he bid his dear friend and former lover a goodnight, he found himself restless, and headed to the nearest tavern for a well-deserved drink.

One of Therion’s hands has his chin resting in it, while the other mindlessly fiddles with his sheathed dagger.

He’s quite lost in thought, if the blank gaze staring at nothing was any indicator of such. He’s currently alone in the common room, so the quiet is causing him to reflect on things. Namely of his more recent experiences.

Though the sound of Primrose entering is enough to draw him out of it.

He glances over, and the hand gripping his dagger falls still.

“ ... Didn’t think there was anyone still up. What do I owe this pleasure, then? ”

As his father and Ignis constantly reminded him, he was held to higher standards. Pretty much everything Noct did attracted media attention so he had to be careful. Not to mention, his status meant there were the added risk of kidnapping or worse.

That didn't stop Noctis turning off his phone and heading for the arcade. He actually managed to spend a good hour or so working his way up the leaderboards before a heavy hand fell on his shoulder, causing him to miss the shot he'd been about to take and die with a dramatic game over.

"Aw man, what the - oh...hey there Captain. I didn't know you liked video games." He offered the man a sheepish grin as he rubbed the back of his neck. Out of all the people to find him, it had to be the Captain of the freaking Kingsglaive, didn't it?

He was going to be in so much trouble.
