When the Curtain of Life Falls Will You Be Found Worthy?
We are living in the last days, and Jesus is coming soon (Revelation 22:12). Time is running out. His return will be sudden, like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2). This is not the time to be a lukewarm Christian. Jesus warns in Revelation 3:16 that because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, He will spit you out of His mouth.
Do not compromise your faith. In Matthew 7:22–23, Jesus says that many will stand before Him and say, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, cast out demons, and do many mighty works?” But He will say to them, “I never knew you. Depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness.” Even when the disciples returned rejoicing that demons obeyed them, Jesus told them, “Do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven” (Luke 10:20). Our joy must be in knowing Him and living in obedience to His Word, not in our gifts or ministry achievements.
The devil is working tirelessly. He sends false teachers into the church, pretending to be believers (2 Corinthians 11:13–15), twisting the Word of God, and speaking about Jesus while pushing the agenda of darkness. Many believers are falling into his traps. The Bible warns that there will be a great falling away before the return of Christ (2 Thessalonians 2:3). If you are not intentional about staying in God’s will, reading your Bible daily (Joshua 1:8), praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and walking in holiness, you could be one of them.
Be watchful. The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Do not let materialism, compromise, or the ways of the world pull you away from Christ. Satan tempted Jesus by offering Him the kingdoms of the world (Matthew 4:8–10), and he will try the same with you.
Not every open door is from God, some are snares of the enemy. Test everything (1 John 4:1), pray about every opportunity, and let the Holy Spirit guide your steps (Proverbs 3:5–6).
Work out your salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). Be intentional. Stay close to Jesus. Guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23). When the curtain of life falls, make sure you will be found worthy to enter His Kingdom (Matthew 25:10–13).
