CLOSED: Single Parents Support Group

who?: Sasha + DJ
when?: April 2025
She's been coming to these things since shortly before Christmas and very seldomly does she see the same people more than twice. Sasha imagines there a lot of these places these days. The social stigma against single parents (in particular, single mothers) does not feel as heavy as when she herself was growing up. Now it is April. Now it is baby month. Or babies month in her case. God, she still cannot believe she is having twins soon.
'Hey, Sasha! How ya feelin'?" Comes a voice as soon as she's slowly waddled inside the space. Harry. One of the few regulars in this specific group. Gay as the day is long, recently came out to his ex-wife. Kind. A friend.
"Huge, Harry. Huge." It's automatic and said with a laugh but it is not far from the truth. She is huge. Her large, round belly leads the way wherever she goes these days. "I'm a beach ball." Sasha gives him a quick greeting kiss on the cheek and makes her way over to the drink-and-snack area. She probably could have put away most of what was there last week by herself, having not eaten much that morning before arriving. This is when she spies a new face. As she typically notes, new faces are not unusual but this guy draws her in. More so than her typical Montana friendliness.
"Hey, stranger," she grins. "Have definitely not seen you around before. Sasha." She sticks out a hand for him to shake. Hugs are more than a tiny bit difficult right now, but she is a hugger all the same. "You new in town? Passing through on a road trip?" She has lost count of how many road trippers she has come across in her time.
