Yay, my own evil book! Recreated the model of The Binding of Ipos from Guild Wars 2 and “printed” it. Sounds a bit weird I guess.
This was quite the adventure to get right on the 3d printer. Done with blender and an Ender-3 printer. Painted with acrylic colors.

Yay, new legendary! But... a real world one. Xiuquatl and its fluffy snake. Also needed a stand so I made this totally not cheesy maya temple thingy.
The model was done from scratch in blender and printed on an ender-3. Each of the models, scepter and snake, consisted of two part actually. First time doing this.
But, enough tech ramblings. The ingame model is super detailed, it’s insane. Now I love the item in the game even more after realizing all the tiny pieces. <3
Well, it’s not a legendary. But I think this was the most complicated thing I printed yet. Took some test prints to figure out an orientation to do it. It ended up being 6 parts.
Now waiting to be painted. I would have made it larger... each bloom printed 10h already and the rest of the parts 3h.
Finally a colored version of Flameseeker Prophecies. It glows in the dark! Now I wished I made the lower blue part glowing, too. Oh well, next version I guess.
The luminous paint is rather low quality. It took many hours to apply layer after layer with this watery thin stuff. At least it wasn’t overly expensive.

Someone asked me recently... “are you going to create all legendaries?” A good question actually. Maybe a few. For now only the ones I have in-game and/or I really like a lot.
For the model’s backside I was looking at a lot of pictures of medieval shield grips and learned that most I have ever seen in games are wrong. “So, let’s add one, that was actually used!” Right?
Right. So I rotated the shield and... oh. The model uses a mirror modifier and I didn’t want to create yet another separate part to keep things simple. So... I am stuck with symmetric options.
And I guess that’s why so many shield grips in games I saw are not historically correct. Including mine. :p
Here is something not purple... yet. Actually this will be greenish in the end. Xiuquatl 3D model and print. Only awaiting coloring. The scepter already is, but not gonna add a picture before the snake is done as well. ;)
Blender and Ender-3 pro printer.
Here is a 3D printed hydra I made. Modeled and rigged in blender 2.8, printed on an Ender-3.
I will add a rendered scene with it as well, but the hydra still needs a texture. For now it’s printed arguing heads and biting heads.
