Made a grammar mistake shit
Ok my followers, I am caught up on The Pitt (through 5pm--6pm hour).
Here are a few of my thoughts:
I yelled out loud at Robby whenever he was a jerk to Samira. Loud enough that it scared my cat.
How. Is. No. One. Reporting. Dr. Garcia. With. Dr. Santos. To. HR??? Like, Santos is a resident and Garcia is an attending(?). IK they are not the same department, but they work together often enough. I feel like this has to be against some sort of rules.
I'm really impressed by the moments that they put in that give a nod to the characters' having trauma triggered. For example:
When Dr. Al-Hashimi is about to do the slash trach on the water slide kid
Just ... Most times that Dr. Al-Hashimi is interacts with kids
When Langdon lays the kid from the hot car down
The representation of Becca as a disabled adult is excellent. She is disabled, but not to the extent that she cannot make any decision for herself. She has the capacity to give and receive consent in a romantic relationship. And it's good that she has that. And it also makes since that Mel is worried and hurt that she didn't know about Becca's boyfriend. Because currently, Mel has no one besides Becca.
Every single second that ICE was on screen ... Was just ... Gut wrenching and heart breaking and sickening. And it was also so so validating to see their cruelty being portrayed for what it is. To see them played without exaggeration or satire, but unflinching realism. Realism that shows exactly which role in the story they have chosen.
