Tragically, simply charging into a city teeming with monsters armed only with what is, for all intents and purposes, a common kitchen knife in order to help bring people to safety is something far easier said than done. She’d never expected it to be easy, to be fair--whether or not this was a product of her imagination run amok, the Blade was oftentimes adequate in a pinch but not sufficient, and while she’d gotten lucky so far with beasts who saw fit to leave their chests and necks nice and exposed she wasn’t certain how long that trend would hold.
Craning her neck around a corner to make sure she wasn’t walking into a mob of malignant monstrosities, what her eyes beheld instead wasn’t exactly preferable either; a young girl, likely still in her teenage years, crawling backwards away from a horrid, trollish thing with an axe raised high above its head. Being smart enough to put two and two together, Alice loses all caution and rushes forward, letting out a cry of effort as she jumps onto the monster’s back and plunges her knife in, using it as a handhold as she secures a better position. She can’t exactly get an iron grip on it, as it screeches in pain and thrashes about, but she does manage to get securely on it enough to pull the blade out and drive it in again, and again, and again--until her front is splattered with hot blood and the beast lays on the ground, unmoving.
Panting, she takes a moment to catch her breath before turning to the innocent, putting on a softer expression (if not a smile just yet) and extending her free hand out. “Come on up, then. I’ll get you to the safe zone and we’ll see that you’re not too hurt.” She offers, ignorant to the newly-created monster behind her taking form and placing its attention on her.
