This is one of my previous artistic attempts to make a custom prosthetic for halloween (Black Widow, the arachnid, not the heroine). It was all printed with black filament that was later sanded down then polished with acetone. The knuckle joints had a bit of a slip up, but was easily corrected using brass rods. The “tendons and muscles” were composed of orange nylon and a black O-ring rubber cord. To hold it in place, and for decoration, I used red ribbon. Again, this was more for “fashion not fucntion,” though I’m sure some modifications could be made to change that. Take note, I did not design the K-1, I just printed and modified it. You can find it’s file at enablingthefuture.org. Did this because I figure even amputees wanna have fun on Halloween too. Was tempted to add some red fingernails, but may do that for some future build.
