I've been meaning to add words to my own original story, thanks for the push! I just want to let you know that your dedication to your writing and open sharing of your writing word counts is so inspirational.
"The airport is crowded, despite being the smaller one in the area. Vi bumps into a few people despite her best efforts, following behind her mother and Liz. She’s anxious, stomach clenching, but it isn’t a fear of flying that has her upset."
He doesn't know why he thinks that's weird, though.
Should he think that's weird?
"Krypto," Clark wheezes. Krypto wags his tail harder and makes a chuffing noise around the whisk. Kon debates his chances of successfully fleeing before he gets licked again, though at least the whisk is sort of blocking that right now.
Jon peeks in through the bedroom door and immediately giggles. Kon feels a hot flash of embarrassment and anxiety and just—discomfort, and—
"Okay, so we can play with the puppy now?" Jon asks hopefully. "Like that was enough space and all?"
"Just . . . give us a minute here, Jonno, okay?" Clark says to the ceiling, closing his eyes with a sigh. Jon pouts.
