Leia looked up from her datapad and eyed her daughter with a wry smirk curling across her lined but still lovely face. “I have some bad news for you, kiddo,” she said. “Now that you’re married, you’re never going to be on your own again.” Her voice was as dry as her brother’s former homeworld as she added, “Whether you want to be or not.”

The chuckle that followed was solely for her own benefit, but she didn’t let it linger long before asking in a slightly more serious tone, “But tell me, what can I do for you sweetie?”

“Wonderful!” Jaina declared, dropping herself in a chair opposite her mother. “Although, I think you’re probably a bit wrong about that. I feel as if I only see Jag in five minute increments every few days. I’m glad we’re finally getting a chance to get away for a bit, even if it is only to Bespin.” 

The honeymoon was hastily planned and would be short, but it would still be a honeymoon, and Jaina was grateful. Besides, on Bespin, she could be fairly sure that she and Jag would get the nicest room that Lando had.available.

She also had a sneaking suspicion that the bill would mysteriously disappear when it was time to check out. Lando had been hinting at such as a wedding present. 

“I was wondering how you felt about coming to look at some quarters with me,” she said, reaching across the table to take some suri fruit out of her mother’s bowl. “Jag and I picked out a few contenders, but he’s in meetings for the next two days and told me to eliminate a few so that we can make an easier decision.”

Rey’s heart was racing, she’d been on patrol duty when a familiar craft asked to land, leaving Poe to deal with the incoming craft, which she would apologize for later, Rey went running to find her Aunt Leia.

Bursting into the war room unannounced Rey ignored the stares of the other rebels, she was used to them by now. It wasn’t every day that one saw the famous Luke Skywalker’s daughter walking around the base.

“Well; we’re going to have to start sometime,” He said, looking up towards the starry sky from one of the platform perches of the Ewok village.  Small debris from the battle still occasionally streaked through the atmosphere, leaving burning trails behind it as it moved over the horizon of the small moon.  

He grins at her, all charm and adoration, loyalty shining out his eyes with more honesty then he had really known possible, even for him. Poe’s never been a good liar, never, it just doesn’t come naturally to him, and as he’s gotten older that’s started to seem like a good thing. Why bother lying? The galaxy is already full of liars. 

“General, that’s supposed to be my line.”

Come home. Your mother misses you. 

Ben stood where he was, one hand rubbing nervously at his arm. He knew the only reason he wasn’t being attacked and only receiving some cold and glaring looks instead from some members of the Resistance was simply because his father had brought him to the Base. No one wanted to ruffle any of Han’s feathers. Though right now Ben wasn’t entirely sure if this was any better than the lonely apartment on Chandrila. He felt so vulnerable right now and all he could do was wait for his mother to see him.
