you know, i do want to completely disagree with u, i really do, but- i can’t? wait let me explain don’t kill me just yet

i do believe it’s a weird phenomenon that the stuff writers hate the most is the stuff that readers love - and vice versa. maybe it’s the rawness of the quick drabbles that makes readers love them, the short descriptions that make it easy to let the mind wander and imagine scenarios while detailed stuff seems to limit the mind does that even make sense like wtf it probably boils down to two reader categories - the ones who like rather simple stuff and the ones that prefer longer and somewhat »deeper« - and from what i‘ve noticed it’s the former that clearly outweighs the latter.

by no means i want to stay that planning or putting a lot of effort isn’t worth it or anything fuck no in fact, i would still encourage everyone to dedicate a part of them to the stuff they write - after all, we do write for ourselves too, don’t we? but i do understand that it might feel like putting in effort just doesn’t seem to be worth it or anything. that’s what readers are here for, no matter what style or type they prefer, they still keep writers going, don’t they? after all, they are the ones enjoying the work! and yet, we still write for ourselves, people appreciating it is a great bonus tho
