a/n: i don't know if this is too little but it's 448 words so oh well perm tags: @ex1acy @sal1mav @mushyfrogcakes @yversz @kookeem β once you told him emo stands for eat me out and he didn't speak to you for a whole week. β in his apartment, he still has an extensive collection of cds from when he was younger. he had to build a large shelf for them, and when he feels especially nostalgic, he'll purchase another one or two and play them on the old cd player he never got round to throwing away. β sometimes gojo taunts him with old photos where he had the side part. gojo knows that it bothers him, but he doesn't know the reason why - he assumed nanami was embarrassed about his past but really he just doesn't understand why gojo thinks it would make him agitated. it sort of drags old insecurities to the surface. he didn't think the haircut was bad - sure older him wouldn't get it again, but only because he was past that 'era'. did the others think it was weird? something that they secretly made fun of? he'll never ask, but it still troubles him sometimes.
β he impulsively got his septum pierced but ended up flipping it up so people couldn't see it. it's very rare that he wears it normally outside, but sometimes in his apartment he will have it out. whenever someone is stood behind him, sees the glint of silver and asks about it, he simply gaslights them into thinking they were wrong. β alongside the cds, he still has hid old mp3 player and will sometimes listen to songs through wired earphones on his commute. β he still mourns the loss of his old myspace account (β’Μ α΄ β’Μ) even though he could still log in, he insists it wouldn't be the same. [he also couldn't handle seeing haibara as #1 on his top eight list.] β although he did fit in with the emo subculture when he was younger, he disliked when people would say he was just emo because of how moody he was. his mood was simply the impact of such harsh and destructive teenage years - he enjoyed mcr, paramore, and p!atd, but he disliked the typical stereotype and wasn't emo because of the impact his friends leaving had on him. β nanami definitely still has an oversized band shirt from when he was younger that he bought at a concert because it was the only size left [smaller sizes always run out so quickly at concerts sigh]. he still wears it sometimes on off days, but you always insist on borrowing it whenever you come over because it's so comfy and just smells of him. it's tight on him nowadays, although it used to drown him when he first got it, so it's perfectly baggy for you.
