Your LOTR Asky thingy- I actually don't remember what numbers are with which so pretty much I'm typing in some random numbers- please forgive me if I ask you things that are sooper obvious and you've already ranted at me several times... but 22, 23, 6, 8, 4, 2.
2. Which character do you connect with the most? Ooh starting with a tough one! Iād probably have to say Eowyn. I really connect with her story emotionally ā the first memory I have of ever experiencing that happy feeling, where youāre giddy and crying happy tears and you canāt speak because youāll just squeak and then start giggling and sobbing and not stop, is when I was 11 and sitting in my school library duing lunch hour, and I got to the bit in ROTK where you find out Eowyn isnāt dead. Second place goes to Bilbo or Sam, though. 4. Which scene always makes you cry? Already answered. :) Letās change it to āwhich scene most recently made you cry?ā Much more embarassing. I just finished a reread of FOTR, and I guess I was having a lot of Silmarillion feels that day, because I got to the bit where the Fellowship is leaving Lothlorien and Galadriel sings her song of Eldamar. Itās so bittersweet and lovely, especially if you know the Sil, and I got to the line that goes āmaybe even thou shalt find Valinor; maybe even thou!ā which follows hard on the heels of āwhat ship would bear me ever back across so wide a sea?ā as well as a ton of Aragorn feels, and I just lost it in my local Arbyās. 6. Which race would you be? Much as I would love to be an elf, Iām a hobbit at heart. I love maps and genealogies, I would go round in bare feet all the time if I could, and I must own up to being rather fond of food. :)8. Favourite character? Oh god this is like the hardest question in this whole meme. Um. I think I have to say Faramir. Heās so good. Heās Good. It never even occurs to him to take the Ring (EXCUSE YOU AGAIN PETER JACKSON). āNot even if I found it on the highway would I take it,ā is the line, and he holds to it. He doesnāt covet the Ring, andĀ he doesnāt try to hold on to the Stewardship, and his greeting to Aragorn when Aragorn heals him is in my top 5 favourite LOTR scenes, easily. Not to mention he and Eowyn are the Number One Best Canon Couple Ever.22. Weapon of choice? For myself, a bow. The only ones I really have to consider are Legolasās Mirkwood bow and Legolasās Galadhrim bow, so Iām waiting to see Taurielās bow and Bardās bow in action before I pass judgement. Though Kiliās bow is pretty sweet. Of the named weapons, Iām particularly fond of Anduril for its history and Orcrist for its design. (Four for you WETA Workshop, you go WETA Workshop!)23. Do you think you would volunteer to take the Ring to Mordor?Probably, but likely only after one of those long pauses that you get in bad classes, where everyone is looking at each other like āyou wanna talk first? nope you? nopeā and no one makes eye contact with the prof. So basically what happens in the movie, but my motivation would be more along the lines of āfucks sake guys fine iāll take itā than Frodoās more solemn and doom/fate-laden decision. Tbh Iād probably more likely be a companion member of the Fellowship than the Ringbearer.
