“Emma! Over here!”
The boy waved his arm for emphasis, other hand pocketing his Triplicata. He’d been in the middle of typing another text message to her to check where she’d made it to when he spotted her. His messages had been out of the blue, asking where she was and if she was busy, and instructing her to meet up with him with little explanation and dodging questions carefully. Norman felt a little badly -- it could worry her just as easily as anything else, and he didn’t want that -- but nevertheless, she’d have to wait just a little longer for answers.
With a spring in his step, he made his way toward her, and though he still offered no clarification, and nothing appeared to be new or out of the ordinary about him, the grin that he couldn’t help but to give her told its own tales. “I know this is rather sudden, but come with me. Not much farther. Trust me!” He stretched out his hand for her to take, ready to lead the way.
