My project for this term is to finish creating and editing a series of short featurettes for Adelante! Gallery where I currently intern. There will be about seven segments that are each 1-3 minutes in length. The intro and outro will briefly discuss the gallery, its message, and its goals. The body of this series will be about the artists who are showcased in the gallery and the inspiration for their work. This is my capstone and it will be aired in the gallery, on their social media sites, and on the sites of these nationally known artists.

Of all of my achievements so far, the most significant accomplishment would be working as a Production Assistant on the set of Wild while it was in production in Ashland. This was my first large budget feature film and also my first paid gig. I worked straight from 4 am until 7 pm. I did was I was told and I was always on task, which truly does get noticed. Because of this, I was the only PA that got to work directly with Reese and the cast. I have built a great deal of rapport with the people who hire me, so the harder I work the better the work I get.

After weeks of aggressive filming, editing and more editing, I've finally whittled this project down to a quick but effective video that's just over two minutes long. The process of finding what works and what doesn't has been a stressful one, but quite the learning experience as well. I'm continuing to push myself to create the most effective and successful project possible. I want people to watch this, have a good laugh, and feel inclined to share with their friends and family. Even if only 100 or so people end up seeing it, I will declare this video project a success as it is. My goal is to complete it knowing I put as much effort as I could possibly muster into it. If making some people giggle in the process happens as well, that's all the better. Can't wait to show my classmates in a couple days!

Editing galore! I have been editing a lot of footage this weekend and the video is really starting to come together. I have about a minute of it edited so far, and will have about two or so minutes to still edit. I also captured some more video footage of the beginning sequence of the short, but unfortunately came across some audio errors, so I'll have to re-shoot some of the scenes. But it's just another little bump in the road, and everything else will work out just fine.
