I tossed this around a little before, but a Duelist OC who plays the Fire Emblem Cipher card game.

Whoever he chooses to make the Lord/MC of his deck when playing, he feels their spirit reside within him as if he were also commanding their respective armies in their shoes. Every card is played with a flourish depicting freedom, as if he were chained up and restricted in his daily life outside of dueling. 

Win or Lose. Pro or Amateur. He values each and every match.
