EmberHyde
Within recent years, the EmberHyde has become a local legend within Emberfall.
The EmberHyde is a beast believed to be a spirit from the Badlands, seeking chaos and rot within Emberfall. It takes the form of a variety of beasts merged together; the body of a great black bear, a wolf's tail, quills along its back and stag antlers atop its head.
Standing 12 feet on its hind legs and raw power of 10 soldiers, it’s an unstoppable force during a confrontation, causing more than enough casualties. There are a few instances where the beast would attack supply carts from allied villages before disappearing with a good portion of the carts supplies.
The EmberHyde is a story meant to keep wandering children away from the forest, keeping them within the borders between their village and the outside world. However, that doesn’t mean it’s some fairy or tall tale.
EmberHyde, in spite of its abstract form, was a very real beast that had taken lives. But one day, it seemed to have disappeared completely. Maybe it got bored of tormenting the village and left or died in its cave; or maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t a monster at all, but a child trying to survive in his broken world.
