Thank you for asking! 4. What sections of a bookstore do you browse? I usually check the manga sections to see what has been officially translated. I work in children's publishing, so I also often look at the picture books. I collect books that teach languages so I look in that section. Oh and craft books! But I try not to buy those anymore because I find it easier to learn techniques from videos.
10. Do you have a guilty fav? I don't really have any 'It's terrible but I love it anyway' favourites but there are a handful that I love but I feel a bit guilty about enjoying because they contain problematic elements that put a lot of people off. I try to get around this by reading them critically and by not recommending them to people. Examples would be the Captive Prince trilogy and Jules Verne's books.
20. What are things you look for in a book? I like funny books! And I like immersive fiction that makes me feel like I've been on a trip. I realised just before graduating uni that once my course was over I could spend the rest of my life exclusively reading children's lit and/or books with LGBTQIA+ characters and I've just done that ever since, haha.
I saw the ornate DA Alistair portrait and was amazed at the details (the GILDED LOOK), and Iāve been amazed at every piece ever since!

R - Strangest fandom youāve ever been in
Iām not sure if itāsĀ āstrange,ā per say, but I was clandestinely into the Hellsing fandom for a while. It was all very hush-hush because I didnāt really want my parents to know (this was early high school, and Hellsing had some adult themes), but I drew a lot of fan-art, fantasized about being Victoria, planned cosplay that never happened, learned a lot about vampires, and listened to some hard-core rock fan mixes.
W - Random book recommendation
Iāve started rereading The RookĀ by Daniel OāMalley, and Iām remembering how much I adore it. Apparently itās the first in what will be a series, and I could not be more excited. Itās like... supernatural secret service with intrigue and wit and WOW is it good! If you havenāt read it, you should definitelyĀ check it out!
