“That implies that it’s possible to hate you.” Emma snapped back, but she took a step back to let Cameron through. “Fine, help me, then. I would’ve gotten there on my own eventually.”

“I did like you - I do like you.” Cameron’s a good guy, Emma’s sure of it, but there’s just one problem; ”I just... I didn’t like like you, not like you like liked me.” She’d been fixed on Julian for years, but their parabatai bond had gotten between them. “I hope we are, Cam.”
