while i am not surprised at the wheein leaving news (as this whole comeback has seemed like a goodbye) im still sad. because from how im reading the announcement, i think wheein has mostly signed on in order to do mmm concerts and so i’ll be very surprised if we get new mmm music, let alone a full album. its not that they’ve said they won’t, but i personally will just view any new music as a bonus at this point.
i will be incredibly surprised if ot4 does any variety shows (even tho they haven’t done the idol variety rounds for a few years) and if there is tv content i expect it to be just sketchbook.
fwiw i think the date they’ve said for when wheein’s mmm finishes is probably also the end of contract dates for the other three so they’ll all be up for renewal again in 2023. and who knows where they’ll be in 2023.
