So, funny thing: Em's biggest deal in my head has always been her identity, or... lack thereof, I guess?
She's an elf, yes, but she's a city elf. From Kirkwall. She was never really raised at all with any Dalish beliefs or customs. I don't even thinks she speaks any real Elvhen. She knows about the gods, sure, but they were never her gods. She's an elf, yes, but that has never defined her.
After that, she was a slave for a good number of years. No identity there, either. Slavers attempted to sell her off as Dalish, masters didn't really care one way or another. It wasn't until she joined the Lords and became a pirate that Em chose an identity for herself. She made it, with her own two hands. Shiny and loud and jovial and happy. Bright gold. Don't look at what's underneath there, look at the mask. Look at the image of the superhero pirate I'm projecting. Look at how cool I am and don't think about it too much. And then maybe, over the course of Veilguard, and after (think of all the stories people would tell of Rook, the pirate that saved Minrathous - nay, the world!) how much it would suck to see people glamorize this thing that she's made, the thing that's starting to feel less and less like her? Does anyone even know 'Rook' is not her name?
So uh, yeah. All of this to say that I enjoyed this quiz result quite a bit and I think it fits.
