Zachary hadn't been sure he wanted to attend the Council Meeting, but with the chaos of the past week, he knew he should at least attempt to be aware of current events. He remained at the perimeter, not wanting to draw attention to an ex-hunter in such a high profile and public arena with the very beings his family had taught him to kill. Towards the end he prepared to slip out. Just his luck however, that he was outside when the entire city went dark. His eyes were wide, making him almost wish for some supernatural vision abilities. He was nearly blind in this darkness. Even his stupid phone wasn’t working. Maybe, he noted, he should try not to rely so much on the device. Stepping down onto the curb, watching as cars slowed down and skidded to stops, he didn’t watch where he was putting his foot. Unfortunately, it was on a slick patch. His feet slid out from under him and Zachary landed flat on his arse. “Oof!” He groaned loudly. His body was so stunned that he felt like he couldn’t move for a few scary moments.
