This Pear Tart with Cinnamon and Cream has a flaky puff pastry crust and is filled with ripe pears that are naturally sweet and warm cinnamon. With a little cream and powdered sugar on top, it's a delicious dessert that's great for any event.
Ingredients: 1 sheet puff pastry. 3-4 ripe pears, thinly sliced. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 cup heavy cream. Powdered sugar for dusting.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. Place the puff pastry on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper and roll it out into a rectangle. Place the sliced pears on top of the puff pastry, making sure to leave some space around the edges. Put the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and mix them together. Spread this out evenly over the pears. A crust will form when you fold the edges of the puff pastry over the pears. Use heavy cream to brush on the crust. Put it in an oven that has already been heated up and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the pears are soft. Take it out of the oven when it's done and let it cool down a bit. Before you serve, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Feel free to eat it hot or cold.
