there were plenty of other empty seats, way closer to the entrance and way more likely to be chosen, but alex knew her area, and it almost seemed like he headed for it on purpose, if anything to give her something to do. ella was not sure if she liked the idea or if she was annoyed by it, but she went straight for it with her note pad ready to take his order. “i’m not making any discounts for you today, no matter how bad of a day you’re having. you have been warned.” but she was so easily convinced, it was really up in the air.  ||  @tcrtcard​

a bar wasn’t for dancing, everybody knew that. ella didn’t even understand why there was the smallest space for a dance floor if people usually chose clubs for that. if people came to a bar they would sit, drink, and perhaps eat. so maybe she chose the wrong place to spend the night at, but the club was a few miles too far for her mood, and she needed some kind of out. ella sighed- she had tried to start a conversation with a couple people who barely paid attention. she tried not to be offended by them, but it didn’t mean she was giving up. levi had just walked into the bar a few minutes ago- she waited to try and see if he was waiting on somebody, but her impatience got the best of her. grabbing her drink, she approached the other and sat on the empty spot next to him. “from a swing set to a bar. damn, we grow up fast.” 

she was almost scared of running into him every single time she was out. she was used to dragging someone around with her the entire time so avoiding riley would be easier, but it was the end of her shift and she had found herself walking home alone for the night when she had seen him across the street, like some kind of creature of the night, ready to pounce and... attack her. at least it was the level of anxiety that ella felt as she stopped on her tracks and simply stared, wondering who would make the next move but absolutely unable to do it herself.  || @antiquom​

“hi-” she didn’t think it through. she had been so excited about zach’s present, detail, she didn’t even know how to call it, that she had taken one of the flowers from the arrangement, fixed it in her hair, and ran off to find him. then she locked eyes with him, and she felt her knees go weak. she had never felt this around zach, but poor girl was so easy to give into a man when they had the right detail with her. “hey-” she repeated herself, this time with a little laugh as she looked away to cover up for the blush in her cheeks when zach looked into her eyes. “i got your present. i mean, clearly,” she giggled. “how did you even- i mean, you didn’t have to. it was- i’m speechless.”
