Got my certificates and did four job interviews on Monday. I was nervous bc my bus was making me a little late and I was the first interviewee and it was for one my top 2 picks. I'm torn between a more traditional salon or a laser skin clinic, bc they're so close to home.

I originally only had 2 interviews planned, but I heard another skincare company had a goodie bag for interviewees and I really like their stuff, and then I just did a head spa place bc I'm getting into haircare. Plus I doubt many people went for it bc it's their first time partnering w the school so people aren't as familiar w it, and it's not the typical path after a beauty diploma.

I felt like I did well in all of them. 3/4 said what to expect if I passed and got a second interview, which was a good sign.

Actually, just 3 hrs after interviewing w the head spa place, they sent an email saying they wanted me for a second interview and trade skills test. Honestly I just did the interview for more job interview experience, but I'm glad they seem really eager to have me.

It's been 2 days and 3 of the businesses have sent me emails for a second interview. The laser, traditional salon, (my top 2 picks) and hair spa place, but not the skincare place (WHICH I DIDN'T GET A GOODIE BAG FOR BTW! 😡😭). The traditional salon place said to give them up to 2 weeks to give me more info.

Even though I'm not as interested in the head spa place I'm gonna accept that second interview. I'm nervous bc we don't really do head massages in beauty school so my skills probs aren't up to scratch, but I hope they accept eagerness to learn to make up for it. Idk though bc they are SUPER strict about their high quality service experience.

Gonna fill out the laser place stuff later. I hope the traditional salon gets back to me soon so I have closer options.
