Ella Recommends Final List:
Well, here it is! The final (for now) #ellarecommends list! The order of these is - as I said in the first post - based solely on the order I received the submissions, no competition is being placed here. Anyway, please enjoy and be sure to check out all of these wonderful stories and stay updated on these authors as I likely will! 💕
Libertas one-shot (Frankie Morales) by @juletheghoul - as recommended by @xdaddysprincessxx: this took me a few days to get through but it was absolutely worth it. Roughly 14k words full of fear, passion, and humanity. I love how well it handled such sensitive subject matter.
Who's the Guy? series (Pedro Pascal OC) by @scorpio-marionette: Great start to some very solid worldbuilding. It was grounded but had that classic rom-com meet cute feel. Eleodoro is going to be an amazing character, I just know it.
The Girl by the River series (Din Djarin) by @moon-sang: Really cool mix of Star Wars meets Stranger Things meets the MCU. I find it neat that now Din has 2 ridiculously overpowered things to take care of and can't wait to see what kind of trouble they all get into.
@minteaartss art blog by @mintycoffea: This isn't exactly what I had in mind for this listing, but I ended up loving what I saw regardless. This art is so cool and detailed, I loved perusing the blog and seeing all the neat artwork.
Here for You oneshot (Frankie Morales/Joel Miller) by @flightlessangelwings:This was really well put together. Joel and Frankie are a pair I didn’t even know I needed until now. And the way Joel guides/reassures Frankie is just so wholesome.
Designed Destiny oneshot (Pero Tovar) by @flightlessangelwings: Listen: Pero Tovar is SUCH an underrated Pedro character. I love him to death and I loved his protectiveness over Reader. The lack of judgement, the compassion, the respect??? We stan.
Messy Pile of Affection series (Benny Miller/Frankie Morales) by @flightlessangelwings: So sweet, so cozy (even the spicy bits) so right! I fell in love with this throuple and can’t wait to read more about them. The respect, love, and admiration they all have for each other is lovely.
Water of the Kyber series (Din Djarin) by @dreadfulvee: This is kinda what I was trying to avoid with this post since this series is 35 chapters long. BUT I didn’t want to be a total stick-in-the-mud so I read the first couple of chapters. Solid OCs, great worldbuilding, and a fantastic premise. Will definitely be reading more when I get the chance.
Wait No Longer one-shot (Pero Tovar) by @lowlights (as recommended by @amandanik23): I’d been wanting to read this so the submission was a wonderful coincidence. Ok, Pero Tovar is becoming like Javi P for me: I cannot become obsessed with either of these men because I just know my life will be ruined, ok? And dangit Laura, this incredible spice is not helping either! I loved how feral and impatient Tovar was. We love a desperate bastard (affectionate). This was thrilling to read and I adored every second of it.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow oneshot (Jack Russell) by @writer-darling (as recommended by @mandy-sings): Well this was unexpected, but a nice surprise! Thank you Mandy for recommending me my own fic, definitely a fun way to wrap this up. What can I say? I’ve fallen head over freaking heels in love with Jack Russell and will continue to write for him as much as I can. I really hope that the relationship between him and Reader comes off in a way that is affectionate, respectful, genuine, and overall just loving ya know. Which according to the feedback I’ve received on SOtR, seems to be working??? I’ve already decided to expand on this storyline and I have so many ideas brewing for these two it’s not even funny.
Alright, well here’s the list! Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate! Please check out each and every one of these incredible authors and show them your support. Reblog, comment, all that jazz, It really does mean the most. And let me know if I should make this a thing? I had a lot of fun with it and hopefully you all did too! Anyway, thanks a million, and I’ll catch you in the next one!
