     The sudden yanks of the subway letting people on and off      woke her from her dreamy state, but once it was steady      going once more she found herself drifting farther off. 

     Her head rested on the shoulder of an unfamiliar person,      who seemed much cleaner than herself. Soon she was in      a DEEP sleep, drool staining the poor stranger’s blouse. A loud      snore ROARED above the subway’s madness and the 14 year      old cuddled up peacefully next to the older woman.

           It wasn’t that she wasn’t paying attention to where she was going,            she was just... distracted. That would be her excuse if asked, anyway.            Her gaze was fixed on a large sheaf of papers in her hands, so much            so that she was oblivious to the Person walking opposite her. As such,            Brittany collided with their leg, rather hard, actually, and fell backwards            with a startled yelp.

           Landing on her backside rather roughly, the sheets of papers were            scattered, and scowling, Brittany scrambled to try and pick them up.
