Some decisions were stupid. And then others... Others were just rash, impulsive..
It was difficult for Elesa to make it all the way to Sinnoh, so most of the time apart from texting, Volkner would be the one playing random visits. It was far easier for him to get away from the gym in general as well; being the final gym leader, he didn't get challengers often. Any that he did while he was away could wait just a little while longer. He could come up with an excuse while he was out, though usually none of them ever asked.
And they ended a night out with a visit to the ferris wheel. Even if both of them were just a little tipsy (enough that it showed, in Volkner's case, though not enough to keep him from walking straight and Elesa'd only had a single glass of wine while they were out to dinner anyway), that wouldn't keep either of them from enjoying the city lights as others had.
"Els," Volkner began, looking over to her. She tilted her head to the side and hummed in response, looking at him. And then the distance between their lips was closed.
She was a bit surprised at first, but it wasn't unpleasant even if there was a faint hint of alcohol on his breath. She leaned into it, reciprocating and mostly just taking the time to enjoy it. After a few moments they broke apart to breathe, briefly, before diving right back in, and that time, Volkner swiped his tongue lightly against the model's lower lip. She opened her mouth a bit, granting him entrance, and her arms locked around his neck.
They kissed like that, there, until they had to get off the ferris wheel. Elesa escorted Volkner to his hotel in silence, reflecting on his actions and clinging to the memory of the feeling of his soft lips against hers.
