Avaraelina watched the elven commander out of the corner of her vision, and not just because the man was attractive (though that didnāt hurt). The man - introduced as Elerance - had joined them at the docks on their way to Orgrimmar. Since then, she had caught him staring at her a number of times (usually with a look of disgust - nothing strange there). While he looked away when she caught his gaze, he never pretended that he hadnāt been looking. Something about the man was eating at her. He seemed⦠almost familiar.Ā It wasnāt his name.Ā If sheād ever heard it before, it had been thoroughly erased from her memory. It wasnāt his face either⦠but then most faces in her memory were nothing but blurs, when they were there at all. But his voice. That tugged at something. When he barked an order, her body leaped to obey before her mind caught up - and a few times, those orders had made no sense at all.Ā He was testing her.Ā Did her know her? Had he known her? If only she could remember.Ā He turned to look at her, and she realized sheād been caught staring. Had it been possible, she would have blushed. She looked away quickly and busied herself with cleaning her weapons. What did he know of her? Until now, sheād managed to avoid running into anyone who knew her when she was alive.Ā Well, as far as she knew anyway. Did he know about her daughter? She had told no one she had a daughter, not since she had been freed from the Lich Kingās control. Her daughter was on shaky social standing as it was - having a mother who was known to be a Death Knight could only make things worse for her.Ā She hoped he didnāt know. Silently, she cursed the fog that hid her memories of life from her. Who was he?
