PEEZY P

Colbie Polite aka 'Peezzy P' is an Orangeburg, SC native born in the early 90's. Growing up, his family consisted of his mother and 2 brothers. Peezzy P lists his hip-hop influences as Tupac, Hot Boys, NO LIMIT, Pastor Troy, and Lil Boosie. Peezzy P's message in his music is 'get money the right way and avoid the system'. Having seen his older brother in a rap group and not being able to perform or be a part of it, sparked him to write and record on his tape deck and eventually to produce his own music as well. Seeing that he had a natural talent for this he knew that he could go further with his skills. April 14 2012 he won 2nd place at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program hosted by A.D. The General in Columbia South Carolina, He is also nominated for “Emerging Producer” at The E.H.M.P awards to be held Jan 16 2013 in NYC. E.H.M.P.: What are some of your favorite songs that inspired you to be an artist? 

PEEZY P: My favorite songs of all time would have to be "Bonita Applebum" and "I use to love her". I love and still love the Common Sense Era and Tribe Called Quest.   

E.H.M.P.: Where was your first performance? How did it go?

PEEZY P: Man all I could remember was "My shawty in the back and my Ni**a's on the side" haha then I knew from that moment I lost my 10th grade talent show. I felt like I did good and would of one if I didn't free-style hahaha. I had the crowd bumping to my song though.

E.H.M.P.: How has been a native and being raised in Orangeburg, SC influenced your music?

PEEZY P: That's all there was to do down there really was go to school, cook-out, and make music. My mom was born and raise there though so she made sure if I was serious bout it then she would pull some strings to get me heard. So big ups to Mama Jenkins!

E.H.M.P.: Who have you worked with and who do you want to work with in the future musically?

PEEZY P: I have gotten to work with many artists and other producers but my all time was 9th wonder. Man that man is a beast and he's a d.j on the low, ha ha. When him and Talib Kweli came to SC and Performed at the White Mule downtown Columbia, man it was spectacular. My brother D.J Lazy had a set with him and he put me on so I wouldn't of gotten the chance if it wasn't for him. On the other hand though I would love to work with Pharrell and Timberland. My two favorite producers.

E.H.M.P.: What's one song that you've done that you can say is your BEST work?

E.H.M.P.: What do you like most about early 90's hip-hop/rap?

PEEZY P: The BEATS! I loved them man they all were before they're times.

E.H.M.P.: How involved is your mother in your music career?

PEEZY P: She's so so kinda. She knows this is really important to me so like a mother she's always looking at my best interest, making sure no one takes advantage of me. her and my manger Snow has a good relationship and she tells her all the time to protect my music ha ha.

SPECIALGIFT: You are bright, charming, charismatic and admirable. You are a student, baller and an artist. You even have great teeth I must say, as well. (smiles) My Goodness you have super swag, lol!! Tell me and our readers about yourself and how you can sustain your many talents.

ST. LOU: LOL, thanks. Well I go by the name St.Lou, it was a nickname my friend gave me when I was younger. I'm 18 years old, I was born in the Bronx but raised in South Side Jamaica Queens. I started rapping at the age of 12 and was also in a rap group. We did our thing for a year, from 2007-2008 then went our separate ways, when things wasn't going right. Ever since then I been a solo artist. I played Varsity Basketball for 2 years at Hillcrest High School. I'm currently in College, I attend BMCC for now, planning on transferring to Florida State University. Have my own team called $Livin Rich$, starting up a clothing line by the way. I got a buzz in South Side Jamaica Queens, I'm trying to make my buzz worldwide. I make music people can relate to with some good concepts. Such as Party/Hype music, to Relationships/Heartbreaks, Fashion & etc. I work hard and put a lot into all my songs, I know it will pay off soon. I'm just waiting for my time. I Sustain my many talents by just being dedicated and humble. If i make up my mind to do something...Imma do it.

SPECIALGIFT: O.k., so I hear you have a single coming out April 21, 2012, that's great. Enhance us with details, titles etc.

ST. LOU: Yeah, I got a song called "Stuntin' In My J'z" Featuring my two homie's, Charms Montana & Dezzy Finesse and Produce by my homie J-Wiz. I wanted to make a song that many people across the world can relate to. I know a lot of people wear the sneakers Jordan's such as myself. So I wanted to make an anthem, which will have an impact on the world. Good Lyrics & A fire beat. You can got to YouTube on the 21st at 6pm the track will be up.

SPECIALGIFT: What are you plans after this release? Elaborate a bit.

ST LOU: After the release I'm going to promote it hard so it will be an success & shoot an official video for it. I have a lot of original fire music coming out. I'm going to do more videos, shows, keep grinding hard and being humble.

SPECIALGIFT: You performed at the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program March of this year, 2012. How did that come about? How was the experience? Elaborate on the outcome.

ST. LOU: It was a great feeling ! I was the youngest one in there and when I heard Bones Brigante was there i was shocked. I wanted to put on a show and I did, The crowd was feeling me and my music and I did my thing. As a new act i came in 3rd place and judges said I had a lot of energy. I was proud of myself.

SPECIALGIFT: I noticed a recent tweet on twitter from you that stated, "Got so many events coming up, future looking great". Now that's grand!! Where can we expect you in the next up coming months? 

ST. LOU: Hopefully on a big radio station or on TV, I mean who knows ? I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing now and put God 1st because he never lets me down

SPECIALGIFT: Give us a brief visual description on who Tamara Bubble is and some insight on the beginning of your come up in the entertainment industry?

TAMARA BUBBLE: Visual description, I would just have to say "All thing's Bubbly". {giggle's} I'm very curvy, I'm full figured and well endowed, mama blessed me. My come up in the industry has been quite short. I have been trying to do this professionally for about two years. I met the scammer’s; I met everybody the want to be C.E.O's. I'm at the point where I can decipher who's who. I think that I am starting to network with the people I need to deal with. I sing, I rap, I act and I model! So as far as music, I do everything from dance too hip hop. I blend elements in jazz because I like to scat and I grew up singing in church. So it's a whole lot of soul all over the place. That's pretty much who Tamara Bubble is.

SPECIALGIFT: You have a single entitled "Stupid Mother". Oh wow, what a title. Please tell us who, what, when, why and how did you come up with that name?

TAMARA BUBBLE: "Stupid Mother" just really been like the first year and a half that I started in the industry. That was all the people that promised you this and say they can do this for you. You know everybody throwing contracts in your face like sign this here and its like, "you haven't even heard my music or what I'm signing? Like, "step back"! {laughs} Let me figure out who you are and what you want from me! {more laughter} So "Stupid Mother" is just like sort of speak, I see where your coming from I know what this is, "hold up, know we not going to go there" and I don't curse. So that's why I guess its "Stupid Mother" Because I finish it off. When I'm performing live than I'm going to let everybody else finish it off for me.

SPECIALGIFT: You will be live on Fox 5 NEW YORK TV, this March 2012. How did that come about? Elaborate some.

TAMARA BUBBLE: That really came about networking. A lot of the opportunities that I find are actually right off craigslist. You would be surprised of the people looking for true talent. It's not any gimmick. You know you have to be careful, screen everything. {laughs} There is a lot of "Stupid Mother's". You know you find people that are looking for content, looking for good music, for underground, for indie and you send your stuff to them. If there's opportunity and they like your stuff, it can happen! {giggles}

SPECIALGIFT: How did you become acquainted with A.D. the General and the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program? What have you learned so far about A.D. and Elegant Hoodness?

TAMARA BUBBLE: I got acquainted wit A.D. through the publisher of Hip Hop Stardom 101 Mag. I think that the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program is a very powerful movement for woman, which right now in the forefront it looks like the industry is ran by men. So I think that it is good what they are doing now, to put woman together. You know we all know it is hard for woman to work together. I think the movement is good, I definitively am for it. I like what's going on with it and I look forward to working with A.D., Elegant Hoodness and N.A.B.

SPECIALGIFT: Who is your icon, if anyone?

TAMARA BUBBLE: I have different icons in different genres for different reasons. Entertainment, performance wise, I would say Michael Jackson because he owned the stage. Rap, I would sayBiggie hands down. His flow, delivery and his story telling is just what I really love. I like a lot of harmonies, like I said I was singing in church, so groups like En Vogue, Take Six and Brown Stone. Jazz I love scatting Ella Fitz Gerald is the Mack when it comes to jazz.

SPECIALGIFT: You are a well rounded individual. Where do you see yourself in the next few years? Anything you expect in particular, mostly?

TAMARA BUBBLE: Let's see. In the next few years my goal is to be exposed. To be know nationally known. I think I have worked on my craft enough to where the different genre's that I do; I'm real good at all of them. I don't want to sound cocky but I'm confident that the product I put out, the quality, the content and everything that I'm doing is official. In a few years I just want to be credited for it, to be recognized for the talent.

SPECIALGIFT: Highlight this interview with something the world hasn't heard of you yet? Meaning, something we can look forward to. etc...

TAMARA BUBBLE: {in such a Bubbly voice} well what you haven't heard of me yet is actually my debut album is called "Unleashed". So' I have been genuinely really growing up preserved. This album just kind of takes all the stuff that I have been holding in and put's it on blast "put it on wax"! You haven't heard the "Unleashed" outta me. "My wild side".

Murdakkh

Murdakkh is by far one of New Jersey’s top artists. His clarity on the microphone has set him apart from his fellow artist. Murdakkh was raised in America but his roots go back to Belize Central America. He learned from young that lyrics alone were not the answer. He has set out to be the main producer on his up and coming album “The warm up”. With an appetite for musicMurdakkh is preparing for his six course meal. Right now he is gearing up for his month tour in June of this summer in the state of California. The tour is called “Who’s next to blow”. With all the excitement buzzing around the artist of course the press would find his story intriguing. In the start of this year he has been the talk of not only his fans, fellow artist but also London own Niji Magazine. They will be covering Murdakkh’s daily movements while on tour to bring light to the actual life of an independent artist on tour. With his album “The warm up” coming in the later part of the summer, fans and Murdakkh him self is excited to see the end result.

Murdakkh for the last two years has been working with Aireal Apparel a Virginia based clothing line company. He met the owner J.R Bautista online via face book. Murdakkh was working on the visual part of his album and was excited about the products Aireal Apparel has put out. Aireal Apparel invited Murdakkh out in the summer of 2010 to the Asia American Basketball Association(AABL) to perform. Since the then Murdakkh and Aireal Apparel relationship has grown to where the clothing line company has offered to be the artist Sponsor for his tour. With that saidMurdakkh’s decided to create his first single around the concept of one of Aireal Apparel biggest selling products, the fly or die T-shirt. The Fly or die single will have a 12 week national radio campaign thru PF and Associates. With the single receiving national airplay we know “The warm up” album will definitely have a successful 1st week sale.

E.H.M.P: It's my pleasure to interview artist Murdakkh. How you and what are do your represent as an artist/producer?

Murdakkh: I am doing pretty good thanks for asking. I am a hip hop artist from Jersey.

E.H.M.P: Tell us more about the album "The Warm Up" and your strategy for the success of this project?

Murdakkh: The warm up is my first real big release on my new label Vicious Production. When we went into recording the project the main focus was getting some collaboration in with fellow artist in my area. The Warm up has about 5 to 6 features with artist like Le Doubleny, Luey P, Newton, Bumpy 103rd, we just went in and recorded 20 songs and took the best 10. I just wanted to be as free as possible in the creation of this project. I think you guys might like some of the skits.

E.H.M.P: How did it come about your performing in the "Who's next to Blow Tour" going on in California? What are your expectations on how you will be received?

Murdakkh: Actually the tour was quite bit of a disappointment. Not only did we not get out there but I had a big issue with the management of the tour. PF and associates I felt were not prepared for what they were asking from the artist. The company still owes me money for a plane ticket that was never resolved. So with that said Fuck PF and associates.

E.H.M.P: How did you connect with London's own Niji Magazine? How has that connection impacted your movement thus far?

Murdakkh: It was the winter of 2010 when I had a awesome opportunity to meet the editor Mr Michael Cox. He flew out from London to vacation in NY and I had the pleasure to sit down with him for an interview. We have kept in touch and have built our relation ship via twitter and face book. The connection has helped me so much. I will be flying out there to Camden; London for a show on May 19th 2012, hosted by NIJIMAGAZINE. I have been able to access more artists that are performing and touring because of my relationship with NIJI.

E.H.M.P: You have surely been blessed. Tell us what we can expect from your affiliation withAireal Apparel Clothing Line, and the idea to incorporate "The Fly or Die" T Shirt with your single "The Fly or Die"?

Murdakkh: Well Aireal and I and have a lot of things working down the pipeline that we want to put in place. Def, we are going to plan a fashion show for late 2012 to spring 2013. I also will be doing a “Aireal Mix tape” called Fly or Die over the course of this year, with artist that I know and few on the rise thru out the states. I was trying to bridge the gap between designers and performing artist.

E.H.M.P: How did you become affiliated with A.D. The General and what are your views on the services the Elegant Hoodness Musical Program Provides for artist to date?

Murdakkh: I have known A.D. for about 3 to 4 years on and off. Thru my underground connections with Remy aka Mr 13th and Titio Baez aka LOST, I was able to meet up with her again and had the blessing to win one of her Monthly competition. I know E.H.M.P is a good program that I’ve seen with my own two eyes help new and returning artist find there place to shine and be successful. I would not be surprised if E.H.M.P is not responsible for putting on a good percentage of underground artist in 2012 and beyond..

E.H.M.P: What is something fans would not know about you and who do you think is your biggest fan/supporter? Who are some of your major influences?

Murdakkh: I don’t think fans know that I eat Oreo cookies 8 times a day, I’m sorry I’m really just a big kid at heart. My biggest fan beside my beautiful wife would be my good friend Joyce. She has always been to all the shows in the last 2 years and I respect that even on nights when she had school the next day. I’m thankful for that really I am. My major influences in music areDamien Jr Gong Marley, Nas, Pusha T, and Coldplay the greatest band on the planet.
